Arts Gowanus Patterns Gala 2022

Added on April 20, 2022 by Miska Draskoczy.

I’ll have a print from my Gowanus Landmarks series available at auction at the upcoming Arts Gowanus Patterns Gala. The print is a hand tinted platinum print and an artist proof from ongoing experimentations printing the series. This piece is one-of-a-kind and a handmade original!

The Arts Gowanus Patterns Gala will be an outdoor event at which all attendees will be heavily encouraged to wear the craziest patterns they can– Please join us for a very special evening on May 12th, the Gala will include live music by La Cumbiamba, food stands from iconic Brooklyn eateries, and a silent auction of stunning artworks from 40+ local artists. You are strongly encouraged to wear a crazy pattern, and of course there will be a prize for the craziest outfit of all!

The Patterns Gala will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at The Old Stone House, with a rain date of May 14.

This event will help us raise much needed funds to help Arts Gowanus continue its year-round support of artists in the Gowanus neighborhood. This Gala is critical in supporting our advocacy and programming expenses. This fundraiser comes at a pivotal moment as over the next few years we need to dramatically grow our infrastructure before we take stewardship of 30,000 feet of affordable studio space and a community center. Our organization is growing rapidly and we are not slowing down! We’ve made great strides in making our community more visible and our events more accessible to all the artists in the community, these funds help support the organization’s free and low-cost arts programming.
